comments joe biden made to the man who came to pick up the body of his son. i don't know that these are the kind people that we should ever presented last but no one will touch these issues. guest: if nobody touched those issues, you would not know about it. there's no shortage of information these days. these campaigns are being covered like never before and you can get a lot of the daily horse race aspect, but there's plenty of coverage of what the candidates are saying of the campaign trail and how that equates to the previous statements, policies they have enacted. i think that there is plenty of information for people. they just have to be willing to sit down and find it. host: here is "the bloomberg insider" take on colorado put out on august 27th. can you explain? guest: in our last legislative session, for the third time, lawmakers tried to pass a bill that would recognize same-sex of unions. for the first time, they got republican votes in the house, the chamber controlled by republicans in a one-vote margin. it was essentially filibustered and the final night of the regular se

part of the state, heavily democratic, scranton, might be best known that joe biden is from there and hillary clinton, her dad was born there. eveready starts to campaign in scranton one way or another -- "the office," said, scranton, a town, voters have the gene for politics. host: a phone line to set aside for those of you who lived in pennsylvania. we want to hear from you as we focus on the key battleground state. terry madonna, since 1988, pennsylvania has gone democratic, the last time voting for republican bienick george herbert walker bush. why? guest: the democrats have been able to win suburban voters. , at a philadelphia with a huge edge -- the largest municipality in the state, a heavy concentration of democrats. if you win philadelphia and the suburbs, the four counties in lehigh valley -- out of the southeast by 650,000 votes, is pretty difficult to overcome that edge in other parts of the state, even if the republicans win that infamous t that we often refer to. the other point to remember about pennsylvania is that is dominated for the most part by one television m

. house of representatives. this is a scenario where mitt romney and joe biden could win. the democrats have control of the senate, and the republicans have control of the house of representatives. brenda is on the phone from north carolina. is there is an election dispute, what happens next? thatr: let's hope and pray we do not have an election dispute. with the supreme court appointing george bush in 2000, that will not be good for the country. we need to make sure that everybody votes that has been ready to vote. there are a loud and not antagonized anything to make sure everybody gets their vote in. that is a right of all people regardless of what political party >> if you are an american citizen, it is important we all vote. host: to look for the call. a couple of comments from our facebook page. from our independent line from athens, tenn.. caller: it seems like there is a group of people, they want criminals to vote, the illegal aliens to vote. they cry that they are being repressed. i even heard when democrats say they're republicans or changing the time this coming week. all ac

president had been scheduled to go to ohio today with bill clinton. that has been cancelled. joe biden was supposed to be there, but is not going to be able to go to new hampshire today. people are trying to move around their appearances, the president basically had a couple of appearances and is then coming back. the white house is basically monitoring conditions. host: we are talking about two different changes to the schedule. one is the practicality of not going to a certain swing state, but the other has to deal with how candidates are perceived. talk to us about that angle. host: mike holly had an interesting story today. no one wants to be seen as politicizing a storm, but on the other hand they have a job to do next week. no one has talked about suspending their campaign. after the john mccain experience four years ago, no one would actually use that phrase. there are unpredictable ways in which this could affect people. no one wants to be seen as trying to take political of vantage of this. but the effect could include things like not being able to make appearances in sw
